Ace is based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The vast majority of Ace's coaching, counselling, and consulting services are delivered virtually via secure video platform. This allows Ace to work with clients across North America/Turtle Island.

Absolutely. Our video calls happen through the Jane App which is a secured video connection. Any notes are taken directly through the same secure system. Our sessions, your information, and all of our conversations are confidential. There are three legal/ethical reasons why confidentiality would be broken and these will be discussed during our first session together. These follow the same standard for any counsellor or social worker across Canada.

Coverage depends on your specific insurance provider and policy details. Some extended health benefit plans cover sessions, and business consulting/coaching may be deductible as a professional expense for self-employed academics or practitioners. If you have extended benefits that cover coaching or counselling costs, please note that Ace is unable to provide direct billing. We encourage you to submit your receipt for reimbursement once you receive it.

Ace uses the Jane App platform for payment processing and they should take all major credit cards and digital wallets (i.e. Apple Pay, Google Pay). The app can also record manual or external payment methods, please reach out for more detailed support.

Ace has four slots in their schedule for people who cannot afford the standard rates! If you want to access Ace's help, email the office (support@acemanncoaching.com) or book a 15-minute consultation to get the ball rolling.For those with significant financial barriers, Ace will work with clients to establish an equitable amount and number of sessions. This allows people to gain access to Ace's services on an ongoing basis!If you need help, ask. Ace will do what they can to accommodate you.

The name "Turtle Island" is a traditional Indigenous name for North America, originating from many First Nations and Native American cultures. We use it to honour the deep, rich history of this land that predates European arrival and modern borders. While it is only a small step, using inclusive language helps foster curiosity, shift our perspective toward shared respect, and acknowledge the ongoing relationship between land, health, and community.
